Britney wants conservatorship to end

Britney Spears has been under conservatorship for four years, and she feels that she is now ready to resume control of her life, but her medical doctors don't think she is ready yet, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As previously reported, Spears was in court last Thursday with her dad Jamie Spears, and fiancé, Jason Trawick to meet with Judge Reva Goetz. The judge wanted to discuss with Britney the possibility of her becoming a part of Simon Cowell's The X Factor.

The pop music queen has told her psychiatrist and her court appointed lawyer, Samuel Ingham, that she's now ready to go it alone, but it looks like that won't be happening anytime soon.

Britney Spears Sells Home For Huge Price

Britney Spears has sold her Beverly Hills estate ... TMZ has learned, but that's not the big thing. Get this ... it was listed at $2,995,000 and real estate sources tell us it sold for $4,253,000.

We're told Britney's people listed the house at a modest price, expecting multiple bids and possibly even a bidding frenzy. It looks like it worked out for them, because the price they accepted is more than a million over asking.

And it gets better ... because Britney is under a conservatorship in probate court, there will be a hearing on the sale next month, and anyone can come to court and overbid the accepted offer.

The house is in the Summit, an exclusive gated community -- and it's the house where Brit famously had a meltdown in 2008 ... when she was strapped to a stretcher and taken to a hospital.

As for where Brit will be moving ... real estate sources tell us she and fiance Jason Trawick will be renting a house for the short term, until they find something they want to buy.

Britney signed off to do X-Factor

The judge handling Britney Spears' consvervatorship wanted to meet with the singer to discuss her accepting a job with Simon Cowell's X Factor, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As previously reported, Spears was in court Thursday with her dad Jamie Spears, and fiancé, Jason Trawick.

Brit's conservators needed to get approval from the court for her to become a judge on the hit talent show. "Britney's team is almost ready to sign the contract for her to become a judge on
X Factor. Before the contract is signed, the lawyers needed to get approval from Judge Reva Goetz, as all business transactions, contracts, etc., need to get formal approval," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. "Judge Goetz wanted to talk to Britney in person to make sure this is something that she wanted to do, and that she was capable of doing. The judge was extremely impressed and Britney is very, very excited to become a part of Simon Cowell's show. The judge signed off on the deal.

"Under terms of the contract, Britney will be paid around $15 million a year. She will travel out of state for auditions, as long as it doesn't interfere with her custodial time with her sons. The boys will be allowed to come to the set whenever Britney wants them there. Her sons are her number one priority. Jason has been heavily involved in the contract talks," the insider says.

A formal announcement about Spears joining the show will be made in the next two weeks.

Britney settles sexual harassment suit

Britney Spears has settled a lawsuit filed by Fernando Flores, a bodyguard who worked for her for a very short time -- a bodyguard who claimed Britney was a sex-crazed maniac who came on to him and flashed him.

Sources close to Britney say the lawsuit is total B.S. -- he worked for her for about a minute.

Nonetheless ... Britney decided to end the lawsuit after going before a private mediator ... and it's officially case closed.

As for whether Britney paid Flores any loot ... no one is talking. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
